Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, September 5th, from 10:22 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Virgo at 7:06 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, September 7th, from 3:24 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mars), until the Moon enters Libra at 11:21 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Friday, September 10th, from 12:48 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Venus), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 2:05 AM EDT.

Libra 14-15° - Sabian Symbol 195
"Circular paths" Venus - Sensuality, love, harmony, pleasureVenus symbolises attractivity. Sign in which Venus is tells us what we are attracted to and this enables us to give or receive love and affection, beauty and happiness, values and principles. The negative side is that it represents weakness and shallowness.
Libra 29-30° - Sabian Symbol 210
"Three mounds of knowledge on a philosopher’s head" Mars - Activity, energy, courage, assertivenessMars symbolises the need to get what we want. This means our driving force which includes sex drive, initiative and courage. Mars tells us about our desires, sensuality, courage and will. Virgo 27-28° - Sabian Symbol 178
"A bald-headed man" Jupiter - Happiness, optimism, expansionJupiter symbolises growth, expansion, laws, faith and ethics that guide it. It represents a sense for development and support, which can lead to opportunities, wealth and faith. However, if Jupiter is damaged, the person becomes immoral and extremist.
Aquarius 24-25° - Sabian Symbol 325
"A butterfly with the right wing more perfectly formed" Saturn - Restriction, order, maturity, timeSaturn is our strict teacher who is able to ruthlessly examine our maturity. However, it is not only the despot, but also the archetype of the sage who uses pain as a means to get our attention on what we should focus on and what we should continue to develop.
Aquarius 7-8° - Sabian Symbol 308
"Beautifully gowned wax figures" Uranus - Originality, freedom, revolutionUranus is the power of awakening, which often means that there will be some disruption and change. Events under the influence of Uranus are unexpected or unpredictable, forcing us to do things in a new way and face the truth about this or that issue.
Taurus 14-15° - Sabian Symbol 45
"A man muffled up, with rakish silk hat" Neptune - Fantasy, illusion, spirituality, imaginationNeptune is called the Lord of the Invisible Empire, which is a mysterious name of a mysterious planet. Perhaps we could describe it as a dimension of life that cannot be experienced by our five senses and we can only understand and perceive it in our imagination.
Pisces 21-22° - Sabian Symbol 352
"A man bringing down the new law from Mount Sinai" Pluto - Transformation, regeneration, powerPluto is the planet of death and rebirth. It is the end of all things, it is the Judgment Day. It can give rise to obsessions or convictions. On the dark end of its spectrum it can manifest as "succumbing to the urge," or it can create an individual who has the ability to get to the core of things, destroy negative things and bring on healing and transformation.
Capricorn 24-25° - Sabian Symbol 295
"An oriental-rug dealer" Objects:
Lunar Nodes - North Node and South NodeThe Lunar Nodes aren’t planets, but rather astrology mathematical points, that are directly opposite each other in the chart. It is said, that your life purpose is encoded between them - in the line between North Node and South Node. The South Node indicates your comfort zone, your habitual place, while your North Node shows life lessons and what you’re striving for in this lifetime. Both Lunar Nodes are almost always retrogade.
Gemini 5-6° - Sabian Symbol 66
"Drilling for oil" Lilith - Black Moon - Fascination and DenialLilith is a fictional point - the second empty focal point of elliptical orbit of the Moon around the Earth.
In mythology, Lilith refused to submit to Adam, rebelled against the connection between Adam and Eve, decided to escape from the world of people and made a connection with Satan.
In astrology, Lilith symbolises either fascination or refusal of topics with which she is connected with. Both, the fascination or the rejection of the given topics, can eventually engulf the person and take him "away" from the human world.
Gemini 6-7° - Sabian Symbol 67
"An old-fashioned well" Chiron - Wounded Healer, inner teacherChiron is an asteroid between Saturn and Uranus. Its orbit is very unusual and represents a bridge between material and spiritual worlds.
According to mythology, Chiron was a great healer, wise teacher and one of the immortal Centaurs. Unfortunately, he was "deadly" injured by a poisonous arrow by Heracles, his favourite disciple. He was suffering in great pain but he could not die. Finally, he gave up his immortality for the benefit of Prometheus who was also suffering, and Chiron was sent to the underworld. In the underworld Zeus had mercy for him and he raised him to the heaven.
In astrology, Chiron symbolises our unhealable injuries and incurable trauma. However, if a person, instead of drowning in his own trauma, is able to accept the trauma and help others who are also suffering, and accept that suffering is part of life, then Chiron may be the key to wisdom, or even to some sort of "Initiation Gate".

Red/Green Days for 2021
For Sun Signs, each of the planets involved in aspects is scored according to the sign position of the planets involved and the relationship they have to the Sun Sign. Each Sun Sign has a different perspective on the aspects of each day.
Find your Sun Sign in the bar across the top, and scroll down the column until you reach today’s date (listed along the left side of the table). The number in the box indicates where your strengths are for the day. If it is a red number, then you can expect to have physical energy today. If it is a green number, you can expect to have more mental energy (rather than physical). The higher the number the greater the impact. Red days are more inclined to be challenging and possibly stressful, while green days tend to be easier.
If the box is blank, do not expect to be influenced by one type of energy more than the other.
Red-Green Tables: September 2021
SEPTEMBER 8
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Libra. It forms a trine to Saturn midday and a conjunction to Mercury tonight. The Libra Moon is fair, balanced, and compromising, and its aspects today are steadying and clear-headed. We can visualize and verbalize what we want to do. It’s a generally good time to bond and connect on emotional, caring levels. Family or home improvements might also figure strongly. We could have the opportunity to connect and understand others and bond through sharing our humanity, sensitivity, or vulnerability.
SEPTEMBER 9
The Moon spends another full day in the sign of gracious, compromising Libra. This time, it harmonizes with Jupiter and challenges Pluto. We want to give the benefit of the doubt, but our fear of betrayal, whether from the universe or a person, can lead to distrust. We should watch for swinging from blind faith to suspicion when the truth is somewhere in between. Today’s transits are good for motivation levels with work, projects, or personal interests. There can be opportunities to pursue absorbing topics and projects. We’re seeking more joy and meaning in our pursuits, and especially our obligations.
SEPTEMBER 10
The Moon leaves balance-oriented Libra and enters perceptive Scorpio at 8:05 CET. Mercury forms a quincunx with Uranus today, which can find us feeling mentally unsettled. At this time, it can be a challenge to gain others’ understanding. We should watch for poorly-considered decisions, impulsive communications, and disorganization leading to misunderstandings. We may be dealing with a lack of receptiveness to practical advice or unclear directions and instructions. This afternoon, Venus enters Scorpio and will continue this transit until October 7th. It’s a highly emotional and passionate position for Venus. We seek projects, pleasures, and relationships that involve, absorb, or consume us in the weeks ahead. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our power to others can heighten. However, we’re especially adept at handling money and resources during this cycle.
The void Moon occurs from 6:48, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Venus), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 8:05 CET.
SEPTEMBER 11
The Moon spends the day in Scorpio, and we’re observant, strategic, emotional, and intense. We gravitate to activities that engage our emotions. We are clever but possibly a little critical. With Jupiter’s semi-sextile Pluto today, we may not fully engage with our intuition or instincts, and judgment may temporarily be off. Excessiveness can be an issue. It’s possible we do battle with our ideals and morals. Certainly it may not be easy to find a balance between optimism and skepticism today. The Moon hooks into this energy as it forms a square to Jupiter and sextile to Pluto.
