The Sun is in Aries from March 20-April 19. In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive and have the urge to initiate.
Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little in the way of shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting! The Coming Jupiter–Neptune Conjunction
An important cosmic event will happen in about three days: a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction will take place on April 12, at 14:43 GMT. In fact, it won't be just a conjunction, the planets will also be close to a precise parallel of declination (the parallel will be precise on the previous day). (If you are not familiar with declination and parallels, pay attention to an announcement below.) So this will be like a super-conjunction. Some schools of astrology would call it an occultation, others — a "planetary eclipse". Let's also not forget that both Jupiter and Neptune will be in the sign of their dignity, so their impact on the world will, most probably, be very noticeable. What kind of impact that could be? Many astrologers in anticipation of this conjunction wrote about a heightened spiritual awareness, mystical insights, idealism and generosity, and other such generally positive things. And they were correct in doing that, of course. Reinhold Ebertin wrote in his COSI book that the combination of Jupiter's and Neptune's energies is associated with the love of humanity, idealism, mysticism, interest in art. Michael Munkasey wrote in his Midpoints book that this pair produces "Expansiveness and wholesome joviality combined with confusion and neglect to bring an inner focus upon and/or elaboration of daydreams or visions... and a belief that goals and obligations can be explained away as you tire of meeting them". Charles Harvey wrote in Mundane Astrology that Jupiter-Neptune cycle "has a strongly idealistic, humanitarian and ideological quality about it", and that it is related to the unfoldment of idealistic and religious belief systems. I see this coming conjunction from a somewhat different viewpoint. Back in December, in Issue #130 of Lunarium News, I wrote about Jupiter's ingress into Pisces. I didn't like it: in the chart cast for Moscow Mars was exactly on the Ascendant, in a precise aspect with Pluto and in a quincunx with unpredictable Uranus. I also noticed that on the astrocartography map the line of Mars was coming not far from Moscow and then across the Ukraine. I wrote: "It looks to me like someone might be overly optimistic about their power, and keen to expand". Now we can see how it worked out: Putin got overly optimistic indeed and started what he hoped to be a blitzkrieg. That plan failed, but nevertheless Putin succeeded in the information war, in keeping a great part of Russia's population, and even some foreigners, under the delusion of Russia doing a good and necessary thing to restore its greatness. Using for this tightly controlled mass media, of course. So this is another way how Jupiter and Neptune can manifest themselves in Pisces: producing shameless but powerful lies that attempt to hide away even the most horrible of atrocities. How could this pair of planets manifest itself in the near future? One possibility is that Putin's regime will attempt to somehow disguise the failure of his campaign, even if only in the eyes of Russia's population. But there remains other, more negative possibility: the use of chemical weapons, which is now often mentioned as a possibility in the news of the war. Perhaps as a provocation. In that case, the Jupiter-Neptune-on-the-Descendant line passing through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and other countries might hint to us something. Or maybe some political scandal will happen there. |

L’équinoxe de printemps 20 mars 2022
Dimanche 20 mars c’est le début du printemps pour l’hémisphère nord…
C’est l’équinoxe de mars qui défini le début du printemps (ou de l’automne pour l’hémisphère sud). L’équinoxe est un phénomène astronomique qui correspond au moment où le Soleil se retrouve pile dans l’alignement de l’équateur, comme dans le schéma ci-dessus. Cela signifie que le soleil est au zénith de l’équateur et qu’il éclaire la terre perpendiculairement à son axe de rotation. C’est la raison pour laquelle, lors de l’équinoxe et donc lors du passage de l’hiver au printemps (ou de l’été à l’automne) le jour et la nuit sont de durée égale (équinoxe, du latin aequus: égal et nox, noctis: nuit).
Pourquoi le jour et la nuit sont-ils de durée égale seulement à l’équinoxe?
Comprendre le phénomène des saisons est la première étape pour bien comprendre le phénomène des équinoxes. Si nous avons des saisons sur la Terre, c’est parce que son axe de rotation est incliné d’environ 23° (par rapport au plan de rotation de la Terre autour du Soleil). En effet la Terre ne tourne pas sur elle-même comme une toupie tournant de façon bien droite, mais plutôt comme un gyroscope. C’est donc parce que la Terre est inclinée, que le Soleil ne l’éclaire pas de la même façon tout au long de l’année. La vidéo ainsi que les schémas ci-dessous permettent une vision claire du phénomène. En hémisphère nord, la durée d’ensoleillement diminue pendant six mois de l’année pour augmenter à nouveau pendant les six mois suivants, les deux points culminant de cette variation étant le solstice d’hiver (durée du jour la plus courte de l’année) et le solstice d’été (durée du jour la plus longue de l’année). L’équinoxe quant à lui, correspond au milieu de ces deux extrêmes.
Lors de sa rotation annuelle autour du Soleil, la Terre se retrouve donc deux fois dans la position où le Soleil est pile à la verticale de l’équateur. Une première fois en mars, lors de l’équinoxe de printemps et une seconde en septembre, lors de l’équinoxe d’automne.

Macron est le favori pour être réélu dimanche et il y a des indications qu'il a renforcé son avantage avec sa performance dans le débat
Paris (AFP) - La France s'est préparée samedi à choisir entre le président centriste Emmanuel Macron et la candidate d'extrême droite Marine Le Pen pour gouverner le pays pendant les cinq prochaines années après une campagne électorale âprement disputée et polarisante.
Macron est le favori pour être réélu lors du second tour de scrutin dimanche, et il y a des indications qu'il a renforcé son avantage avec une performance combative dans le débat électoral unique contre un Le Pen quelque peu défensif cette semaine.
Mais le président et ses alliés ont insisté la semaine dernière sur le fait que rien n'est dans le sac, avec une forte participation cruciale pour éviter un choc en France comparable aux sondages de 2016 qui ont conduit au Brexit en Grande-Bretagne et à l'élection de Donald Trump aux États-Unis.
Les bureaux de vote en France métropolitaine ouvriront dimanche à 06h00 GMT et fermeront 12 heures plus tard, immédiatement suivis de projections qui prédisent généralement le résultat avec une certaine précision.
Mais les électeurs des territoires français d'outre-mer qui couvrent le monde et abritent près de trois millions de personnes ont commencé à voter plus tôt.
Le premier vote aux élections a été exprimé par un homme de 90 ans dans le petit territoire insulaire de Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon au large de la côte nord du Canada.
Des sondages ont ensuite été ouverts dans les îles françaises des Caraïbes et sur le territoire sud-américain de la Guyane française et le vote commence plus tard dans les territoires du Pacifique puis de l'océan Indien avant de commencer sur le continent.
Quelque 48,7 millions de Français ont le droit de vote.
- Dernière vague de campagne -
Une victoire de Le Pen enverrait des ondes de choc à travers l'Europe. Les dirigeants européens de gauche, dont le chancelier allemand Olaf Scholz, ont supplié la France de choisir Macron plutôt que son rival.
Les enjeux sont énormes - Le Pen deviendrait le premier dirigeant d'extrême droite de la France moderne et la première femme présidente. Macron serait le premier président français à être réélu en deux décennies.
S'il est élu, Macron devrait, dans un geste symbolique, s'adresser aux supporters sur le Champ de Mars, dans le centre de Paris, au pied de la Tour Eiffel.
Macron et Le Pen se sont lancés dans une dernière vague de campagne vendredi, lançant des attaques lors d'entretiens avant des promenades et des rassemblements de dernière minute.
Le Pen a insisté sur le fait que les sondages d'opinion donnant Macron en tête seraient démentis et ont visé le projet de sa rivale de repousser l'âge de la retraite de 62 à 65 ans.
Macron a pour sa part déclaré que Le Pen tentait de masquer une plate-forme autoritaire "d'extrême droite" qui stigmatise les musulmans avec un plan visant à interdire le port du foulard en public.
Mais la campagne a également connu des moments plus légers. Les regards interrogateurs de Macron pendant le débat télévisé et une chemise audacieusement déboutonnée pendant une pause de campagne qui laissait entrevoir sa poitrine étonnamment velue sont devenus des mèmes Internet instantanés.
Les sondages ont montré Macron avec une avance d'environ 10 points de pourcentage. Le débat télévisé très attendu de mercredi n'a pas changé la tendance et, au contraire, a permis à Macron d'ouvrir davantage une brèche.
Mais le résultat devrait être plus proche qu'en 2017, lorsque les mêmes candidats se sont affrontés mais que Macron l'a emporté avec 66% contre 34%.
- Participation "risque réel" -
Les analystes estiment que les taux d'abstention pourraient atteindre 26 à 28%, les gauchistes réticents devant soutenir le président pour qu'il soit sûr de la victoire, bien que le record de 1969 d'un taux d'abstention de 31,1% au second tour ne devrait pas être battu.
Le dirigeant d'extrême gauche Jean-Luc Melenchon, qui a obtenu une troisième place serrée lors du vote du premier tour le 10 avril, a ostensiblement refusé d'exhorter ses millions de partisans à soutenir Macron tout en insistant sur le fait qu'ils ne doivent pas voter pour Le Plume.
Selon Martial Foucault, directeur du centre d'études politiques Cevipof, plus le taux d'abstention sera élevé, plus l'écart se resserrera entre Macron et Le Pen, qualifiant cela de "risque réel" pour le président.
Les premières indications de participation seront à surveiller de près depuis les Outre-mer, où les revenus moyens sont inférieurs à ceux de la métropole et qui ont globalement soutenu Melenchon au premier tour.
Pour Sandy Doro, étudiante de 18 ans dans un bureau de vote de Cayenne, capitale de la Guyane française, voter « est un droit essentiel qui doit être exercé ».
Lyvio Francius, un étudiant du même âge, votait aussi pour la première fois mais avec moins d'enthousiasme : "C'est ma mère qui m'a persuadé et m'a emmené, sinon ça ne m'intéresse pas vraiment."
Mais avant même que les résultats ne soient connus, les regards se tournent déjà vers les élections législatives qui suivront de près en juin les élections présidentielles.
Melenchon a déjà indiqué qu'il envisageait une solide performance et le poste de Premier ministre dans ce qui serait une "cohabitation" difficile avec l'un ou l'autre des candidats à la présidentielle.
