Venus conjunct Mars March 5-6. This is a passionate, warm, expressive, lively and sexy energy. We are now able to take the initiative to achieve harmony and sexual fulfillment. This influence brings satisfaction to the feelings. Our creativity and desire to make something beautiful is stimulated now. We are more able to combine warmth with energy. While we may not always verbalize our feelings and impressions during this cycle, they’re strong and motivating. We prefer to believe and trust, giving things/people the benefit of the doubt until they prove us wrong. We might often tune out problems or conflicts rather than tackle them head on, hoping they will iron themselves out. Prosperity flows when we’re connecting with our heart, being kind, and helping others. The need to withdraw or retreat to restore our energy is strong from time to time.
Mercury is in Aquarius from February 14-March 9. When Mercury is in Aquarius, we are hungry for knowledge and open to new and original ideas. We begin to think outside of the box, and our thinking becomes more progressive and objective. Our communication and thought patterns are spontaneous, somewhat fragmented, reasonable, objective, and liberal. This is a time when inventive thinking is at a peak.
We’re reasonable, finding it easier to separate intellect and emotion when assessing a situation. Although progressive-minded and receptive to new studies and information, we are not quick to sway from our ideas and beliefs. During this cycle, we take more interest in thinking that’s daring or original. As we envision a better future, we can come up with truly interesting ideas and concepts.
Mercury is in Pisces from March 9-27. When Mercury is in Pisces, our thinking processes are more visual, intuitive, and imaginative. We are especially attuned to the world of emotion, which colors both our thoughts and our communication style.
We guess well, express ourselves with imagery, and make decisions intuitively. We are more attracted to consciousness-raising information.
It’s not always easy to verbalize our impressions during this cycle. We don’t enjoy pinning down, labeling, or strictly defining things. We recognize that life isn’t always logical, and we prefer not to think in black and white terms. We’re sensitive and impressionable, which means we can take in more than usual, and it can sometimes overwhelm us. Pisces needs periodic time alone or within to regenerate and detox.
Venus is in Aquarius from March 6-April 5. We move towards unconventionality, independence, and freedom as themes in our social relationships under this influence. Aquarius can be just as faithful as Capricorn, but it has to be on its own terms! Experimental relationships are more intriguing now.
Being friends as well as lovers is important to us during this cycle. Allowing one another freedom of expression, and treating others fairly, unselfishly, and impartially, are themes now.
Mars is in Aquarius from March 6-April 14. Dynamic yet erratic energy levels, achieving our goals through hit or miss tactics, and impersonal expression of anger are characteristics of Mars in Aquarius. We are team players–cooperative and less concerned about personal power.

On Good Astrological Days Helps Us A Lot
Whenever we do something for the first time, we create a birth chart for what we did – the best example is when we get married to someone, we give birth to our marriage to that person and in so doing, we create a birth chart for the marriage. The birth chart is the astrological chart of the time and place we exchanged marriage vows and were proclaimed to be husband and wife.
In Magi Astrology, we refer to the creation of the marriage chart as a Natalization of the Marriage Chart. When we marry we natalize a marriage chart. The better the marriage chart, the better the marriage.
When a person makes love to anyone for the first time, the two persons natalize a their Love Making Chart – how good or bad that astrological chart is will actually predetermine the course of the couple’s sex life with each other. The better the Love Making Chart is, then the better the love making of the couple will be with each other.
We also natalize a birth chart whenever we complete a single-step activity like buying anything or signing an agreement. So when we purchase a smart phone, the act of purchasing the phone natalizes the birth chart of the phone ownership – if this chart is bad the phone will likely be lost or damaged or stop working prematurely.

Suffocated by sanctions, Russia squeezes foreign firms leaving

Moscow (AFP) - Russia is piling huge pressure on foreign companies fleeing the country following Moscow’s decision to send troops to Ukraine even as some tycoons warn that the seizure of assets would take the country “back to 1917”.
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a plan to nationalise foreign-owned companies, and on Friday parliament’s lower house was set to discuss the initiative.
Russian prosecutors on Friday warned they would be closely monitoring the departing foreign companies, including their adherence to labour laws and procedures for salary payments.
The General Prosecutor’s Office said every company leaving will be audited for “fraudulent or deliberate” bankruptcy and warned against one-sided refusals to fulfil obligations.
On Wednesday, Russia’s ruling United Russia party told Putin that it had prepared a bill that would be “the first step towards the nationalisation of assets of foreign companies leaving the Russian market.”
During a meeting with government officials Thursday, the Russian president endorsed that plan, saying the country must “introduce external management and then transfer these enterprises to those who want to work.”
The latest government measures are a sign of a huge economic distress engulfing Russia.
On February 24, Putin ordered Russian troops to pour into pro-Western Ukraine, triggering unprecedented Western sanctions against Russia and sparking an exodus of foreign corporations including H&M, McDonald’s and Ikea.
Washington and Brussels’ coordinated response to Moscow’s incursion into Ukraine has made Russia the most sanctioned country in the world, sending the ruble into free-fall, accelerating already spiralling inflation and sparking fears of debt default.
Putin has however said Russia will emerge stronger from the crisis.
“I am sure that we will get through these difficulties and become more competent and have more opportunities to feel independent and self-reliant,” Putin told Belarusian strongman Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting on Friday.
Officials in Moscow have sought to downplay the gravity of the Western sanctions, promising that Russia will adapt and taking steps to stop the flight of foreign currency and capital.
- ‘Point of no return’ -
Former prime minister and president Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday criticised foreign firms seeking to leave Russia and said they were doing so under pressure from Western capitals.
Washington and Brussels, he said on Facebook, “are ridiculous. They want to drag private companies into this parade of idiotic limitations. Truly pitiful.”
He warned that coming back to Russia “will not be easy”.
Some officials assured Russians that their favourite brands would have domestic alternatives.

Moscow’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin said this week that it would be possible to replace the city’s McDonald’s restaurants with domestic fast-food chains within six months.
However, locals did not appear to be as keen to let go of foreign labels, with queues forming outside departing stores such as Ikea and Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo for one final shopping spree.
While the majority of officials publicly backed Russia’s counter-sanctions and Putin’s plan to pour tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine, some oligarchs criticised Moscow’s plans to seize foreign assets.
Kremlin-friendly tycoon Vladimir Potanin likened Moscow’s plans to seize foreign companies with the Bolsheviks’ tactics.
“This would take us a hundred years back, to the year 1917, and the consequences of such a step would be the global distrust of Russia from investors, it would be felt for many decades,” said Potanin, the biggest shareholder in Norilsk Nickel, the world’s largest producer of palladium and refined nickel.
Russian aluminium tycoon Oleg Deripaska in late February demanded “explanations” from officials on what was going to happen to the economy in the coming months.
Taking to messaging app Telegram this week, Deripaska said: “We need peace as soon as possible because we have passed the point of no return a long time ago.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin says he sees 'positive shifts' in talks with Ukraine
London (AFP) - US and European stock markets were buoyed Friday by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s comments about a “positive shift” in talks with Ukraine, traders said.
Oil also rose on Iran supply fears, but remained well below the 14-year peak near $140 hit Monday on worries of a severe fallout from key producer Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The pound and yen hit multi-year dollar lows before regaining some ground, as spiking US inflation fanned expectations the Federal Reserve would deliver aggressive interest rate hikes.
Equities rose after Putin said his negotiators had reported “certain positive shifts” in talks with Ukraine.
“This gullible market – or some indubitable algorithms – seems willing to take Putin’s words as the makings perhaps of an exit path,” said Briefing.com analyst Patrick O’Hare.
“While this week’s rebound is a welcome respite after three weeks of losses, any deterioration in sentiment over the weekend could see these gains reversed in a heartbeat if Russia chooses to escalate further, as well as potentially crossing the red line of chemical, or biological weapons use,” said Michael Hewson, chief market analyst at CMC Markets UK.
In Europe, London ended with a gain of 0.8 percent, Paris rose by 0.9 percent and Frankfurt climbed 1.4 percent, to post their first weekly rise since the war.
On Wall Street, the Dow added 0.4 percent, although both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were lower.
Sentiment was also brightened Friday as data showed the UK economy rebounded 0.8 percent in January after a 0.2-percent decline in December, as Omicron coronavirus curbs were lifted.
Markets have nevertheless been rocked ever since Russia shocked the world by invading its neighbour Ukraine on February 24.
Oil jumped Friday after the European Union revealed talks it is chairing about the revival of the 2015 nuclear accord with crude producer Iran must be paused, days after fresh demands from Russia complicated negotiations.
Oil has been extremely volatile ever since Moscow’s invasion, with traders still fretting over Western moves to ban Russian crude.
“It’s been a rollercoaster ride for oil this week, and for some, the weekend cannot come quick enough,” said Stephen Innes, Managing Partner at SPI Asset Management.
Crude prices have pulled back from nearly $140 at the peak on Monday to around $110 on Friday as hopes rose that other producers will step up production.
“This optimism needs to be tempered by the fact that any increase in output from OPEC would not be enough to offset the loss of Russian supply,” said Hewson at CMC Markets.
