The Sun is in Libra from September 22-October 23. Libra rules relationships with others as mirrors of ourselves. Meeting others halfway, compromise, and negotiation come under the rule of Libra. The focus is now on balance–finding balance and harmony through relationships with others and through art. Libra is the sign of the peacemaker.
However, life is not always peaceful with Libra in its attempt to restore balance. Decision-making can be more challenging while the Sun is in Libra. Libra weighs both sides of any situation, and sometimes this process seems endless! In Libra, the Sun is concerned about not rocking the boat and not rubbing others the wrong way. Tactfulness, style, tolerance, and sociability are some of the keywords for Libra. On the shadow side, Libra can be self-serving, indecisive, passive-aggressive, and superficial.
Mercury is in Virgo from September 23-October 10. [For part of this transit (from September 23rd to October 2nd), Mercury is retrograde]. When Mercury is in Virgo, precision in speech, thought, and process are more important to us. This is a time when we analyze and decide what is useful and what we deem to be impractical.
Mercury feels right at home in Virgo, one of the signs that it rules (Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo). Dealing with details is natural and easy now. We need to be careful that we don’t lose perspective if we find ourselves lost in details, however.

CONNAISSANCE DES TEMPS, ÉPHÉMÉRIDES ASTRONOMIQUES
Cet ouvrage d’éphémérides est destiné aux astronomes, aux enseignants et aux étudiants.
Le cœur de cet ouvrage présente, pour l’année en cours, les éphémérides tabulées du Temps sidéral, des variables liées aux nouveaux paradigmes de l’Union astronomique internationale sur les systèmes de référence et les coordonnées du Soleil, de la Lune et des planètes, de Pluton, Cérès, Pallas, Junon et Vesta ; il fournit également les quantités nécessaires au calcul des positions des satellites de Mars, des satellites galiléens de Jupiter, des huit premiers satellites de Saturne et des cinq principaux satellites d’Uranus.
Un chapitre explicatif fournit les informations théoriques permettant de faire les calculs par soi-même ou d’utiliser le logiciel accompagnant l’ouvrage.
Ce volume est le 344e d’une éphéméride créée en 1679 qui a paru sans interruption depuis sa création. Ancienne par sa conception, mais toujours moderne dans sa réalisation, la version actuelle s’appuie sur une partie des récents développements méthodologiques menés à l’IMCCE.

De Ptolémée (né vers 90 après J.-C. à Ptolémaïs d’Hermias, dans la Thébaïde d’Égypte, mort à Canope vers 170), on ne retient souvent que le système astronomique qui fait de la Terre le centre de l’Univers. Et pourtant, cinq siècles avant lui, Aristarque de Samos avait émis l’hypothèse que la terre tournait sur elle-même autour du soleil.
Mais Ptolémée est d’abord un mathématicien. Les pages de sa Syntaxe mathématique, plus connue sous le nom d’Almageste (Le grand traité), reprennent partie les données et observations d’un autre astronome alexandrin, Hipparque de Nicée. Dans son Traité d’astrologie, Claude Ptolémée nous transmet le résultat de plus de sept siècles de science grecque.
Le Tetrabiblos fut l’ouvrage le plus célèbre de l’Antiquité. Il exerça et exerce encore une grande influence dans l’étude des corps célestes de la sphère sublunaire.

When do retrogrades occur, and in what sign? The following tables and images show the planets and bodies (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) and their astrological retrograde cycles by date and sign, from retrograde to direct.
A station is defined from the point of view of the Earth; it is the point when a planet appears to stop moving in the sky. The planet then appears to move slowly in the opposite direction; at this point, the planet is considered Stationary Retrograde. Similarly, once the planet makes a Station (stops) and begins to go forward again, this is called Stationary Direct.
The following shows current and upcoming Retrograde cycles of the planets. Note that the Sun and the Moon never retrograde. Dates given reveal not only the Retrograde periods, but also the Retrograde zones or shadows.

Comment entrer en communication avec les Esprits? C’est à aplanir la route de ceux qui le souhaitent qu’Allan Kardec a consacré cet ouvrage, «car on se ferait une idée très fausse si l’on pensait que, pour être expert en cette matière, il suffit de savoir poser les doigts sur une table pour la faire tourner, ou de tenir un crayon pour écrire. On se tromperait également si l’on croyait trouver dans cet ouvrage une recette universelle et infaillible pour former des médiums. Bien que chacun renferme en soi-même le germe des qualités nécessaires pour le devenir, ces qualités n’existent qu’à des degrés divers, et leur développement tient à des causes qu’il ne dépend de personne de faire naître ou développer à volonté.»
L’objet du Livre des Médiums est d’indiquer «les moyens de développer la faculté médianimique autant que le permettent les dispositions de chacun, et surtout d’en diriger l’emploi d’une manière utile lorsque la faculté existe.»
Après avoir exposé dans Le Livre des Esprits la partie philosophique de la science spirite, Allan Kardec donne dans cet ouvrage «la partie pratique à l’usage de ceux qui veulent s’occuper des manifestations, soit par eux-mêmes, soit pour se rendre compte des phénomènes qu’ils peuvent être appelés à voir.» Il ne s’adresse donc pas exclusivement aux médiums, mais à tous ceux qui sont à même de voir et d’observer les phénomènes spirites.

Meta met en garde contre les applications téléphoniques de vol de mot de passe

Meta dit que des centaines d'applications mobiles qui ont passé la vérification dans les boutiques en ligne gérées par Apple et Google ont en fait été conçues pour inciter les gens à se connecter à des comptes Facebook, en volant des mots de passe dans le processus.
San Francisco (AFP) - Meta a prévenu vendredi un million d'utilisateurs de Facebook qu'ils ont été "exposés" à des applications smartphone apparemment anodines conçues pour voler les mots de passe du réseau social.
Jusqu'à présent cette année, Meta a identifié plus de 400 applications "malveillantes" conçues pour les smartphones alimentés par les logiciels Apple ou Android et disponibles dans les magasins d'applications Apple et Google, a déclaré le directeur de la perturbation des menaces David Agranovich lors d'un briefing.
"Ces applications ont été répertoriées sur le Google Play Store et l'App Store d'Apple et déguisées en éditeurs de photos, jeux, services VPN, applications professionnelles et autres utilitaires pour inciter les gens à les télécharger", a déclaré Meta dans un article de blog.
Les applications demandent souvent aux utilisateurs de se connecter avec les informations de leur compte Facebook pour utiliser les fonctionnalités promises, en volant les noms d'utilisateur et les mots de passe s'ils sont entrés, selon l'équipe de sécurité de Meta.
"Ils essaient simplement d'inciter les gens à saisir leurs informations de connexion de manière à permettre aux pirates d'accéder à leurs comptes", a déclaré Agranovich à propos des applications.
« Nous informerons un million d'utilisateurs qu'ils ont pu être exposés à ces applications ; cela ne veut pas dire qu'ils ont été compromis.
Plus de 40% des applications répertoriées par Meta impliquaient des moyens d'éditer ou de manipuler des images, et certaines étaient apparemment aussi simples que d'utiliser des smartphones comme lampes de poche.
"Notre sentiment est que ces types de développeurs d'applications malveillantes essaient de cibler plusieurs services", a déclaré Agranovich, notant que les créateurs d'applications recherchent probablement des mots de passe pour plus que des comptes Facebook.
"Le ciblage ici semblait être relativement aveugle - amener les gens à télécharger les applications dans le monde entier pour tenter d'accéder à autant d'identifiants de connexion que possible."
Meta a déclaré avoir partagé ce qu'il avait découvert avec Apple et Google, qui contrôlent ce qui est proposé dans leurs boutiques d'applications respectives et les offres de chaque vétérinaire.
Apple n'a pas répondu aux questions concernant la prise de mesures contre l'une des applications jugées malveillantes par Meta.
Mais Google a déclaré que la plupart des applications signalées par Meta avaient déjà été identifiées et supprimées du Play Store par ses propres systèmes de vérification.
"Toutes les applications identifiées dans le rapport ne sont plus disponibles sur Google Play", a déclaré un porte-parole à l'AFP.
"Les utilisateurs sont également protégés par Google Play Protect, qui bloque ces applications sur Android."
